Member-only story
A white-hot ball of pain is
driving me insane.
Last month, I thought
a Cortisone shot
hit the spot…
apparently not.
A Baker’s cyst does persist
behind my right
knee and has me
writhing in sheer agony.
If I walk further than a mile,
constant aching
leaves me shaking.
Icing my knee offers sweet,
fleeting relief from
this unwelcome grief.
Back to the doctor I go,
hoping it can be drained
to alleviate debilitating pain.
Surgery is the last resort.
Aging is such a spoilsport.
