A year chock-full of highs and lows

New York City NYE ball

In January, I received a grant from Poets & Writers for my poetry chapbook, A Shadow of Your Former Self. The reading, held at QED Astoria, was standing room only! This year, I sold 4 short stories, 3 poems, and managed to crack a bucket list market, Gamut Magazine, with an essay that explores death through the ages! I attended the Poetry Festival on Governors Island for the first time; in addition, I spoke on several panels and sold my books at HELIOsphere in the spring & Philcon in the fall.

I had PRP Therapy for torn a torn meniscus in both my right and left knees, which also required PT twice a week for 6 months. Unfortunately, the treatment wasn’t covered by my insurance, but my knee pain is barely noticeable now, so it was a worthwhile investment.

Work-wise I gained several new SEO clients, and also led an intensive SEO best practices Unfortunately, the second half of 2024 saw several clients slash their monthly budgets, due to surging inflation. To stay afloat, I’ve created a Ko-fi Shop. Here’s to a swift recovery in 2025!
